GEOGRAPHICAL DISTRIBUTION OR ORIGIN:
P. incarnata f. alba x P. cincinnata 'Dark Pollen'.
Hybrid of horticultural origin.
MINIMUM TEMPERATURE: 0 °C
IDEAL MINIMUM TEMPERATURE: 5 °C
ETYMOLOGY: This denomination is attributed both to the vivacity of the curled crown and to the dedication to the magazine 'Vivacemente', published by Arch. Rossana D'Ambrosio who had written the first version of this site.
DESCRIPTION:
Passiflora
'Vivacemente', one of my first hybrids. In fact, it dates back to 2004.
The flower is large, almost 10 cm and rich in embroidery. It blooms with ease.
The lively and curly crown is typical of crossings obtained from P. incarnata
and P. cincinnata, the same combination as P. 'Incense'.
In this case I used as mother the P. incarnate form alba and the P. cincinnata
'Dark Pollen'. However, the white color of the mother did not attenuate the
dark violet of the P. cincinnata.
This ancient hybrid of mine has a good resistance to cold and can be grown
outdoors in the Po Valley.
